Currently there are another 10 lessons with much more depth just waiting to be finished.

Q: Will I learn Spanish spoken in Spain or in Latin America?
The major difference between the various "dialects" of Spanish spoken troughout the world is the slang, and this is not a focus of this course. That means you will be able to use the Spanish you'll learn in this course wherever you want.

Q: What does "Caramba" mean?
"Caramba" has no real meaning, but "Ay Caramba!" is used to express surprise. It can be translated to "Wow!" (not the popular videogame).

Q: Do I need to study grammar?
No. Depending on your needs you can either skip this part or get a solid foundation of Spanish grammar. Either way you will learn Spanish quickly and in a fun and engaging way.

Q: Is this a new Spanish course?
The material for our Spanish courses was first developed in 2003. Since 2004 it has been used on both PC and MAC to teach people between the ages of 9 and 99 Spanish in a professional academic capacity. Since then the material has been constantly revised and improved, and now completely revamped to suit various mobile platforms as well.

Q: Do I need to know any Spanish before starting?
No. Lesson 1 will set you up from the very beginning.

Q: I already know some Spanish. Where should I start?
You can view the content of each lesson by pressing the "Content" tab. That way you can quickly compare your skills to the adequate lesson you should begin with.

Mac Specific Questions

Q: Do I need to be connected to the internet?
Q: When I close the app and try reopening it, nothing happens.
Q: I can't hear any audio when clicking any of the sound buttons.

Q: Do I need to be connected to the internet?
No. All content is loaded directly from your computer, so there is no need to be online.

Q: When I close the app and try reopening it, nothing happens.
This most likely means you've closed the app by clicking the window's x-button rather than quitting from the menu bar.
Simply click the app-icon again. This should display the app's particular menu bar at the top of the screen. Then click the app's name which will display a drop-down menu, and finally click 'Quit'.

Now you'll be able to reopen the app by clicking the app-icon again.

Q: I can't hear any audio when clicking any of the sound buttons.
In some cases, for instance if your Mac is connected to a screen via a HDMI-cable, audio will be delayed.
This is a general Mac-problem and does not only affect our apps, but since a lot of our audio-files are short chances are they will not be heard at all.
Try clicking any audio twice or even three times to see if you can hear the sound.
